White Chocolate Macadamia Shortbread
Author: JoanieThis summer, my youngest child and I are going to embark on a cooking adventure. She is my one and only child out of the five that has an interest in working and cooking in the kitchen with me. To be fair, my second oldest son, Stephen has a unique knack for cooking. Through his own trial and error and just a few tips from yours truly, he has found that he enjoys cooking and has been successful at creating many wonderful meals. He never had the time, however to spend in the kitchen cooking with me. So, imagine my delight when my daughter, Colleen asked if we could bake and come up with recipes together. How fun!!
Naturally, Colleen is most enthusiastic about making desserts…so am I…
We decided to start out our cooking adventure by making delicious macadamia nut shortbread cookies. I love these little cookies because they’re slightly sweet, not overpoweringly sweet. They’ve got a wonderfully buttery taste with a delicate, crumbly texture. Perfect with a cup of coffee or a tall glass of milk.
