Duchman Family Winery 2009 Dolcetto – a taste of Italy from Texas

I noticed the Duchman Family Winery 2009 Dolcetto since there was a sign noting that the 2008 vintage won Double Gold at the 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition. The 2009 Dolcetto won a Bronze Medal last year. With this level of recognition and a price in the $10 - $12 range it was worth a try.

Saint Arnold Spring Bock…Texas Spring Beer Treat

This afternoon I had our last Saint Arnold Spring Bock, a seasonal beer that is made in February through April. In short it is a lighter Bock beer with a bit of sweetness and a light hoppy finish. It is a great beer for lighter meals (such as grilled chicken) that we enjoy outside during our cool spring evenings in Texas.
