This weekend I was introduced to a very good Chardonnay from Cupcake Vineyards.  Cupcake Chardonnay is from Monterey Country in the Central Coast Region of California.  The wine is full bodied with great balance with a touch of apple and citrus fruits and a nice vanilla undertone.  The wine is extremely smooth and has a great finishes.  With its full body flavor, this wine goes beyond lighter dishes and holds it own with pork and spicy chicken dishes.  At $11 – $12/bottle, Cupcake Chardonnay will be a mainstay at our house.
