Hahn Central Coast Syrah 2009
Author: admin
As mentioned in earlier posts, I am a fan of Hahn Family Winery and the broad range of value and high-end wines. Tonight we are enjoying Hahn’s Central Coast Syrah 2009. The price point is $10 – $12 and is a great weekday red to enjoy with dinner or relaxing after work. The wine is a very deep red with sweet berry smell with a touch of wood. The wine is full bodied and rounded with black cherry, tobacco and cinnamon notes. I would recommend decantering this wine or using an aerator to open up the wine after opening. This wine is best to enjoy the same day since the flavors drop off significantly the second day, even with vacuum pump, chilling and other preservation techniques. In the end, this is one of our favorite red wines in everyday price range.
